The WPIAL has had Rushel Shell and Mike Vernillo, monster games galore.
We even had Washington's Shai McKenzie (213 yards, four touchdowns), Trinity's Patrick Frey (164-3), Avella's Nick Kusich (202-1), Ringgold's Demetrius Louis (162-2) and McGuffey's James Duschi (228-1) all have huge weekends.
But this? Geesh.
Thomas Tyner, an Oregon recruit who goes to Aloha High School, ran 38 times for 644 yards and 10 touchdowns during an 84-63 win over Lakeridge ... on his 18th birthday, no less.
State records, of course. Not nationally, though, as that's 754 by John Giannantonio of Netcong, N.J., set in 1950.
