Greetings from Cal U

Morning, y'all. Here we are, at Cal U's Lilley Field, for the WPIAL Class A championship game between the softball teams from Neshannock and Carmichaels.

Will post the lineups when we get 'em -- see below -- and we know for sure that Carmichaels, the No. 3 seed, will be the home team. Top-seeded Neshannock will bat first.

The Mikes have breezed through this playoffs, including a 10-0 win over Riverview in six innings to start things off. (Wins over Jeannette in the quarterfinals and Burgettstown in the semifinals -- all three by a combined score of 34-0 -- followed.)

Chris Dugan will covering the first game. I will be tweeting and maybe writing a column or notebook, depending on what happens.
