Comcast’s XFINITY High School Sports Game of the Week will be available for the first time in high definition during the 2013 season as part of a 12-week WPIAL schedule that includes three playoff games and teams from every WPIAL classification.

The schedule starts Aug. 30 with the WPIAL Class AAAA game between Mt. Lebanon and North Allegheny.

Locally, Comcast will broadcast Yough at Washington on Sept. 20 and Seton-La Salle at South Fayette a week later.

Chris Shovlin will be the play-by-play voice, Ellis Cannon on color. Kati Lightholder will work the sidelines. Former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch will join the broadcast team on the playoffs.
