Good news for Chartiers-Houston, California

The two football teams left after Fort Cherry finalized plans for a replacement game may still have hope to replace Imani Christian on their schedules.

Hours after the Rangers signed off on hosting Brockway at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 18, news broke tonight that Rockwood High School would not field a team in District 5.

That creates nine teams looking for games. Conemaugh Township (Sept. 20) and Ferndale (Oct. 4) will be without games the same weeks Chartiers-Houston and California were scheduled to play Imani Christian.

Monessen, the fourth local team in the Black Hills, had already scheduled a game: at Mountain Ridge High School in Frostburg, Md., at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11.
